Based in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, Baker Construction Ltd is a Building and Civil Engineering Contractor operating throughout London, the home counties and the South East.
Formed in 1981 the company has expanded from a civil engineering base into general construction. Our extensive portfolio consists of Civil Engineering, Industrial, Residential, School and Leisure projects.
The company has considerable Design and Build experience in addition to many successfully completed new build and refurbishment contracts utilising more traditional procurement routes.
Every Client's project is ensured a professional service, from initial enquiry to contract completion, under the supervision of qualified staff, and overseen by a director who will ensure that the company's policies for Quality Control, Health & Safety, cost monitoring and contract programming are adhered to.
The nature of the company's activities places particular emphasis on experience, expertise, capability, reliability and quality.
The object of the management is to provide these services in a manner which conforms to the client's contractual and regulatory requirements.
In order to achieve this objective, it is the policy of the company to establish and maintain an effective and efficient quality system, planned and developed in conjunction with other management functions. The system is subject to regular review and audit to ensure its effectiveness, and the conformity of work to contractual and regulatory requirements, in addition to the company's own high standards of workmanship.
The Quality System is based upon the requirements of BS EN ISO9001:2000, for which the company has achieved accreditation, and is also registered with Construction Line.
The Company places particular emphasis on safety and training courses for our own staff, updating them on health and safety requirements, new technology and products, and management techniques.
